THE SALT LODGE

REVIEWS

“We spent 3 nights at the Salt Lodge in Troon to enjoy the outdoors and play golf. This small hotel is brand new, so clean, and the staff is so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. A refreshing change from England! Units include a small kitchenette, balcony, living area, bedroom and bath. Housekeeping was suspended in light of Covid. The restaurant on the premises, Scott’s, is good, but you must have a booking (even for breakfast and lunch). The Salt Lodge is conveniently located within walking distance to the village, the beach, and coastal walk to Ayr.”

“The Salt Lodge wow what can I say, amazing, relaxing and highly recommended. My hubby and I plus our two sons booked a night away at the salt lodge, we had our own apartment. When we arrived the girl showing us our apartment was just lovely, so friendly and nothing was a bother. The apartments are done to a high standard they are new so it was fab being the first in. My sons loved the big TV. Really comfy beds and massive bath towels and dressing gowns provided. The view over the harbour was lovely and we enjoyed a glass of wine watching the boats. We popped into Scott’s for a drink and a fabulous breakfast. The workmanship of the place has clearly been done to a high standard. If you are looking for a night or two away definitely book The Salt Lodges.”

“Just returned home after 3 nights staying here. Everything was just as it looks on the website. The rooms are well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The balcony and view were delightful. After booking I had several questions which were promptly replied by Hannah with very helpful advice. We were with our dog and were all made very welcome. It’s not often you find luxury accommodation willing to accept your pet. We had an evening meal take away and were very impressed with the quality of food. We felt the staff all went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. I don’t think I’ve ever had such great customer service.”

“Booked two rooms for my family after a chat to the lovely Hannah and Sarah in reception. We had a wonderful stay in these fabulous rooms. Cleanliness is first class. High standards throughout. Comfortable sitting room with balcony overlooking the yacht haven. Everything you need is there for you. Very comfy beds. First class shower, amazing fluffy towels. Had dinner in Scott’s restaurant. Then back to Scott’s for breakfast in morning. Happy times, happy memories. Highly recommend. Thank you Salt Lodge.”

“Just returned from a lovely, relaxing weekend. The apartments are first class with a high standard of appliances and finishes. We had a side view of the marina and sea and sat out in our balcony watching the world go by! Hannah from reception delivered great customer service, was friendly and polite and responded to any questions I had, quickly and efficiently. Went to Scott’s for breakfast each morning and if you want a window seat, would recommend you book. We also went for dinner on Saturday night and due to current covid situation (social distancing) and popularity due to excellent food and service, you really need to book. The staff at the restaurant were also great and managed to get us sorted for a table at the last minute.
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and we loved it so much, we’re already booked to return!”

“We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. On arrival staff at reception were extremely warm and welcoming. We were escorted to our apartment and everything about the room was explained. As we were the first people to stay in our room it was completely new and fabulous. Very fresh and bright with great view overlooking the harbour. All fixtures, fittings and furniture were of a high standard and very much in keeping with the setting and surroundings. Beautiful breakfast in Scott’s. Again staff could not have been nicer. Brilliant stay and we will definitely be back again. Loved it!”
